About Us
The firm, currently known as Dawson Solicitors, was opened in Cardiff in 1974 as a sole practice run by Kevin McMillan. In about 1982 Bruce Dawson joined the firm as an employed solicitor, and shortly thereafter became a partner, with the name of the firm being changed to McMillan & Dawson.
Kevin McMillan left the firm in 1989. In the same year we opened an office in southern Lake Macquarie to service the growing population in that area. Such office currently operates at 45 Yambo Street, Morisset and has serviced the Westlakes area for almost 20 years.
Professionals from our offices actively service clients throughout NSW and are frequently able to assist clients residing in other states.

We have two technically up to date offices, with on-line access to virtually all Government departments and other relevant authorities and solicitors in Australia and overseas.
However, we never lose sight of the fact that dealing with a lawyer can be an emotional and difficult time for many clients, and we try to balance the necessities of ensuring that our work is speedy and professional with ensuring the whole process is as stress free as possible.
We unashamedly love our work. But we understand clients do not want pages on what legislation says. They want succinct answers that achieve their legal aims. To achieve this we use our creativity to try to provide clear-cut solutions to even the most complex problems.
